Hope Skincare was developed as a passion project in my senior year of undergrad. I started with a name and a tagline eventually developing all of the packaging, product display, photography, branding, and web design.
I've been playing with the idea of rebranding this project to see where I started as a designer and the designer I have grown into.
Rusty Elk Designs is owned by artist Caleb Carlson, who creates art from scrap metal. Caleb has long been signing all of his art pieces with his initials and mostly makes nature inspired art. Caleb's very first and most memorable piece was an elk named Stumpy, whom he named his business after.
This brand needed to represent all the little details that make Rusty Elk Designs so special.
During my time with Arizona State University, I focused on doing projects for non-profits based in my own community. Using that as my driving force, I was led to do a self-led volunteer project of testing the user experience of the Rock Island Forest Preserve District's (RIFPD) website. Along the way, I found key insights that would help my future re-designing of the website.
During my time at Arning Companies, Inc. I worked on multiple projects ranging in expo print materials to social media designs.
This position provided me with a breadth of knowledge into full-time in-house design for a large manufacturing company. This company even owned a small startup marketing agency in which I worked as the lead graphic designer on projects for multiple clients.
